John Heard married Isabel. He died in 1675/76.1,2

By naming a son Warwick, and by selling "Mosquito Hall," a large tract on Great Island, it is conjectured that he came on the Warwick in 1630. From Great Island he removed to Sturgeon Creek on invitation of John Treworgye, representing Alexander Shapleigh. Goodwife Heard kept Mr. Treworgye's house while her husband was building their house at the Creek. He was always a devoted henchman of Major Shapleigh and was punished with him for opposing Massachusetts and for entertaining Quakers. He was usually selectman with Major Shapleigh. He was on the trial jury in 1640, 1645, 1647 and 1650, and on the grand jury in 1645, 1649-51, and 1653.1

He calls his daughter-in-law "Susanna" (widow of James), though she is called Shuah in other records.2 Click to view image
